A Week in Paris

Our adventure began in the UK, where we had the opportunity to explore London for the first time and ended in France; one of my favourite countries in the world.

Prior to this trip, the only plan I had was to travel solo to Burgundy (a historical region in east-central France) for a photography workshop and retreat. But in the back of my mind, Paris kept yelling its name. It really would have been foolish of me to not see this city again after almost 5 years! So, a week in Paris we went.

We stayed in the heart of Paris at Hôtel Alexandrine Opéra located in the 8th arrondissement; just a few minutes away from Montmartre and only 10 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower.

The view from our home away from home was breathtaking! Waking up to this every morning only made us fall in love with the city even more.

Our days consisted of strolling through the beautiful Parisian gardens such as Jardin du Luxembourg and Jardin des Tuileries, finding inspiration at Musée Rodin and The Louvre, shopping in Champs-Élysées and Le Merais, watching a cabaret during a midnight in Paris, and so much more.

On my last day in Paris before I left for Burgundy, we visited Versailles where we got to tour inside the château and catch the sunset in the garden which is an absolute must! After relaxing at Château de Versailles, we headed back to Paris and treated ourselves with steak frites at La Fontaine de Mars.

A week in Paris was just a dream. Je t'aime Paris. Until next time!

Winter Elopement Editorial

WINTER ELOPEMENT

A morning spent capturing a romantic elopement styled shoot between the Fraser Valley mountains of British Columbia. This couple escaped the city to elope; to relearn one another and to connect like it was the very first time they met. It was on one of winter’s foggiest days where the clouds sat perfectly still on the lake and the rain drops fell silently onto the ground. This shoot solely focuses on the tenderness and connection of the couple, with a touch of wilderness.

Fall Into Winter Bridal Editorial

fall into winter

For this bridal editorial, I was inspired by the change of seasons — fall into winter. Seasons changing have always reminded me of what love is like. I wanted to create an atmosphere that allows you to feel at peace, yet connected, so I used elements that would bring together a romantic and elegant bridal look. Katrina of The Artistry Collective created two beautiful looks on Ambre that allowed us to go from day to evening. The Wild Bunch put together a bouquet — a perfect representation of fall blooms meeting winter florals. Meagan of The Wolf and the Wildflower created a dainty wedding suite using handmade paper. The Truvelle gowns flowed gracefully onto the wooden floors, which made it feel so fitting.
